OsteoVitality Program Phase 1

Phase 1 of the program is the first 4 weeks and includes instructional videos, weight vest, resistance band, 20-minute phone consultation, one on one instruction in classes, and follow up videos. During this first phase of the program, we will be introducing you to the weightlifting techniques and yoga poses. We will be constantly assessing your unique movement patterns and providing you with safety cues so that your program is structured around your specific needs.

OsteoVitality Program Phase 2

Phase 2 includes one on one guidance during classes and a guidebook for healthy lifestyle tips for osteoporosis that you can apply outside of the gym. During this second phase of the program, you will gain more confidence with the movements and will get to know your specific needs as you start to increase the resistance to build strength.

OsteoVitality Program Phase 3

Phase 3 becomes more focused on the fine tuning of strength training as we will work with various tempos. Because your skills and strength will be more developed, you will gain more independence with the movements. You will require less cues from the therapist and trainer, but you are still under their supervision and planning of each session.

Maintenance Program

This choice is for individuals who have completed the 12-week program and wish to sustain and enhance their achievements. You'll remain with the same class schedule and group.

What to Expect from Our Virtual Program

  • The Osteo Strength Training program lasts for 12 weeks and works best with consistent efforts.

  • This is a hybrid format program: you’ll have live Zoom sessions with your instructor and fellow participants every two weeks, as well as programming digitally delivered to your inbox. All Zoom sessions will be recorded and sent out to participants. 

  • Your exercises will be delivered via TrueCoach, an industry-standard remote coaching platform. TrueCoach provides a seamless way to receive your programming and interact with your instructor. 

  • This program is fully interactive! You have access to your coach anytime you need guidance, and they are also monitoring your progress as you make your way through the program.

How do I know if this program is the right fit for me?

We know an osteoporosis or osteopenia diagnosis can be scary, and starting a new routine to take charge of your bone health can feel daunting! We're here to help. Here are some things to consider:

  • This program is suitable whether or not you've had a diagnosis and/or DEXA scan. In fact, this program works wonderfully as a preemptive a measure to prevent bone density loss

  • There's ZERO strength training experience required! In fact, this program is entirely suitable for novices, and we start with the basics and build from there. Even if you never imagined yourself setting foot in a gym or lifting weights, we're here to guide you through the whole process.

  • You'll be part of a cohort going through the program together, which means you also get the support and encouragement of a like-minded community

  • Our interactive program format means your Kaari Coach is there for you, anytime you need it. You can leave feedback on your progress and ask questions about your workouts. You can even upload photos or videos if you want guidance on your form. Bi-weekly zoom sessions offer an opportunity to connect directly with your coaches and group, too.

  • Research shows that improving bone density requires time, dedication and consistency. This program is a good fit for you if you are committed to improving your bone health and willing to invest the time! This program is not a "quick fix." We know that it can feel like a daunting task, but that's why we're also committed to your success and provide the support and accountability needed along the way.
